Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
A name or case number entered into a search tool is sent to the outside provider that operates that tool. The provider processes the query and supplies any result. Union County Court Docket does not keep or log those search terms in its own records.
Messages and Contact Submissions
If you send an email, we retain the message so that we can respond. It is kept within our organization unless disclosure is required by a legal obligation.
Data We Gather Automatically
When a page loads, our systems may receive routine technical information about the visit:
- The device IP address
- Browser type and version
- Device type and operating system
- Pages viewed and time spent on them
- The referring website, when one is supplied
- Page-view dates and times
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are small files placed on a device that help measure site use, such as pages visited and traffic patterns. Analytics providers help us evaluate aggregated activity. Browser controls can block cookies, although some site functions may work differently after they are blocked.
What We Do With This Data
We use the limited information described above for ordinary site operations, including:
- Operating and maintaining the site
- Routing a search request to the applicable outside service
- Assessing site performance and useful content
- Finding and correcting technical problems
- Delivering advertising that may be relevant to visitors
No Court-Record Data on File
Union County Court Docket does not host, maintain, compile, or sell a database of court dockets or personal case information. It provides general routing information for records held by the actual custodians: Union County Circuit Court records are kept by the Union County Circuit Clerk, Union County Chancery Court records by the Union County Chancery Clerk, and Justice Court and municipal records by their respective clerks.
Access to Mississippi court files follows the Mississippi Judiciary Public Records Policy and applicable MEC/PAMEC procedures, not a request to this site. Records of a county public body are instead addressed under the Mississippi Public Records Act through the appropriate public body. We are not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and visitor data is not assembled into consumer reports or files about third parties.
Third-Party Search Partners
Any search box on this site is operated by a third party. Information submitted through that tool is governed by the provider's own privacy terms and retention practices, which we do not control. Review those terms before submitting a query.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to court, clerk, government, legal-aid, or third-party search resources. Once you leave this site, the destination's privacy practices apply to your visit. Review its policy before giving it personal information.
Advertising partners may collect activity across websites to serve interest-based advertising. That activity occurs on their systems rather than on systems operated by Union County Court Docket.
Who Might See Your Data
We do not sell personal data. Information can be disclosed only to the following types of recipients when applicable:
- Search providers that process a query you submit
- Analytics vendors used to measure traffic and performance
- Advertising networks that deliver advertising on the site
- Government or law-enforcement bodies responding to a valid legal requirement
How We Protect Your Data
We use reasonable security measures for information we collect. Internet transmission and storage cannot be made completely risk-free, so we cannot promise that unauthorized access will never occur.
Users Under 18
This site is intended for adults, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone younger than 18. If a minor's information has been provided to us, contact us so we can review and remove it where appropriate.
Your Data Rights
Rights over personal information can vary by the law that applies to a visitor. Subject to applicable law, you may be able to:
- Request a copy of information held about you
- Ask that inaccurate information be corrected
- Request deletion of information
- Object to or opt out of certain processing
Updates to This Policy
